Restaurant Kopara provides excellent facilities to experience a Lappish evening. Deep in the forest, favoured by the wonderfully varied scenery of the Pyhätunturi fell, you can find a restaurant hosted by reindeer herders, a place you can rent for private use. During summer a deck provides additional space.
Kopara offers a different way for your group to spend an evening. The theme of the evening can be, for example, "The Year of the Reindeer". During the evening you will get to know about reindeer herding and all the things that happen during a year in a reindeer's life. The stories are enlivened by items gathered inside the house; Lappish sledges, lassos, footwear and other uniquely local items add their own feel to learning about reindeer herders' work.
The atmospheric Kopara house has been designed according to traditional lumberjack cottages, including a brick bread oven and "the hatch of life", through which food is served. All meals, including pastries, are prepared on site using ingredients produced locally by the house or gathered from nature. Our recommendation for a theme evening is the traditional Kopara menu, but many options are available for tailor-made menus. The bountiful menu of the evening guarantees that no guest leaves Kopara hungry. An introduction into reindeer herding paired with a delicious meal will keep guests entertained, whether they are there for a formal dinner, a business meeting or a day of relaxation from work.
